“We actually started as a band just 3 and a half miles from here”
In between live performances that included artists from all walks of life covering Alice in Chains songs like Metallica, Pearl Jam & Soundgarden members, Fishbone, Nancy Wilson of Heart, Duff from Guns N’ Roses, Corey Taylor and more, the band took a tour of the museum and talked about their personal experiences there. Towards the end they find the famous Jerry Cantrell guitar that has been used on almost all Alice in Chains recordings.
“The design on it I did you can see, we have our local rock station who was really instrumental in supporting the band before anybody else in this town. They used to play our demo tapes, KISW. And so the rock stickers I got there and also the circle and square was the kinda, you know the frame of the sticker itself.”
