The Fan Vote for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been tallied and Dave Matthew’s Band took the top spot with just over 1 million votes(1,005,657). Pat Benatar (882,207), The Doobie Brothers (784,729), Soundgarden (722,931) and Judas Priest (675,434) rounded out the top 5 of the fan ballot which will be tallied along with the other ballots sent to approximately 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry.
Fans were able to cast their vote of up to 5 nominees per day at the RRHOF museum in Cleveland and via their website, along with a Google Vote through January 10th. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2020 winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 15th and will be inducted in to the Rock Hall on May 2nd.
