This after a couple’s toilet exploded after lightning struck their septic tank over the weekend. Methane can build up in the tank over time, and the lightning made a quick ignition.
The toilet blew into pieces, sending porcelain into the walls and shattering portions of the bathroom windows.
Jordan Hagadorn from A-1, a 40-year second-generation plumber, says that neither he nor his father before him had ever seen something like this before, stating that it’s probably “a first in plumbing history.”
