It’s a tale old as time. Stop me if you’ve heard this before; tourists got too close to something they weren’t supposed to and something bad happened.
This time a group of tourists at Yellowstone National Park failed (IGNORED) warning about staying away from roaming bison. Park Rangers say, “…visitors should never be less than 25 yards from most wildlife. Predators like wolves and bears require greater caution and a minimum distance of 100 yards.” The person here was 5 to 10 FEET away from the bison for an extended period of time – assumedly trying to take a selfie.
When the bison charged a 9-year old girl was in the path and was flung into the air. She’s okay but the point remains – especially to parents – keep your distance when you’re told to.
