Two years ago today was one of the best days of my life. I was able to bring my favorite New Orleans musician to town instead of me going down there. It was an opportunity to share his talent with all my NE Wisconsin friends. Glen David Andrews and his band put on an amazing show and an even more amazing thing, about 400 of you showed up to make the night a success. I will forever be thankful for those of you who took a chance on an artist you probably never heard of and showed up to make the night so special. I think Glen will long be remembered for those in attendance for the spontaneous New Orleans-style second line parade he lead down College Avenue.
Two years later, memories of that night still make me smile ear to ear and that’s why I will probably post this video of the second-line parade shot by my friend Cliff every year on the anniversary of that show. Glen even sang about me during the parade. So cool! -Rick-
